Not only does the Elite Dome Light have a current limiting resistor, it also has a constant-current driver that provides protection from currents that are too high, which can happen when igniting the vehicle, or in older vehicles that just have high currents. The constant-current driver can automatically reduce the current to a safe range offering protection for the dome light and the socket. It is also sensor safe and will not activate warning lights. This LED dome light is a simple plug n' play installation with no wiring or drilling required. It has a life expectancy of 2000 hours.
